What about Coronavirus?

We take very seriously all government advice as to how to conduct gatherings and work-related activities. We will operate on the basis of the latest public health guidance. There are some elements of our training that are best experienced in a residential context. In addition, the need and demand for our training has never been greater.

The Queens Foundation has a number of measures in place to ensure that ‘social distancing’ is maintained on site. There are plans in place for both 1-metre and 2-metre distancing. Accommodation, dining and sessions will all be conducted appropriately. We will have contingency plans for whatever restrictions are relevant at the time of the training. Due to varying restrictions on public transport, we advise where possible, that participants travel to the venue by car. This is the safest and most secure mode of travel and The Queens Foundation can offer free parking on site. We would also like to inform participants that the nearest coronavirus testing facility to the venue is located a couple of minutes walk away, in the South Gate carpark of the University of Birmingham.

In the event that there is a second outbreak of Covid-19 and we have to cancel the course due to another lockdown, we will fully refund any costs to participants.

We are also working on making some of the training deliverable online. Citizens UK has adapted itself rapidly and successfully to continuing to be the home of broad-based community organising during this difficult time, and we are confident that we will successfully roll-out our excellent trainings online, if necessary.
